The Ontario Chapter of the CMVA will hold its Annual Technical Conference on

Thursday May 29, 2025
from 8 AM to 4 PM (EDT)

This event will be at the Humber College Conference Centre (North Campus)
203 Humber College Blvd, Etobicoke, ON M9W 6V3

Agenda

    • Chapter AGM & refreshments
      • 2 professional development options (lunch is included in both):
        • ATC – which will include, technical presentations, networking opportunities, and vendors
          • 5+ technical presentations (with topics chosen by our members)
          • Networking breaks with vendors and refreshments
          • Q&A Opportunities
          • And more…
        • Testing for Resonance – Course taught by Dora Orchard, P. Eng – This course focuses on hands-on impact response testing.
          • Test demonstrations and instruction to perform frequency response (impact, aka hammer or bump) testing for the vibration analyst (most suitable for Cat 2 or 3 )
          • Some background theory to be reviewed (different types of tests reviewed and demonstrated)
          • Demonstrations followed by ‘hands on’ testing for participants using course provided instruments and tools, students are encouraged to bring their own equipment to conduct testing as well

Cost to attend

Become a CMVA member ($150/year) and attend chapter meetings and technical presentations, year-round, among other benefits!

A reminder that individuals who present at chapter and national events or who decide to participate on a chapter executive committee or national board of directors will earn valuable points toward recertification. This event will count as 0.8 points towards your CMVA recertification.
