Dearest community,

It is with great sadness that I inform you of the sudden passing of Ken Keith, our dedicated and beloved Executive Director of the CMVA.

Ken was such an influential and important part of the CMVA, in both a professional manner and on a personal level, with an ability to strengthen both our sense of community and the technical aspects of our association. With a relentless pursuit of making the CMVA a prestigious association that is member focused, Ken worked passionately with key individuals to accomplish astounding goals.

During his time as Executive Director, Ken worked to overhaul business and certification processes that resulted in the CMVA vibration certification being a ISO 17024 Accredited certification by the Standards Council of Canada, ushered in a new era for the CMVA by introducing certification opportunities other than vibration analysis through our association such as a comprehensive alignment certification, and ensured the CMVA kept up with current technologies to better support our membership by upgrading and managing the associations’ website, and online certification process.

Ken was a steady force throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and through other tumultuous times for the CMVA, always taking the time to address each members concerns individually.  This man was our rock.  Ken, we will miss you so much.

On behalf of the National Board of Directors, the CMVA staff, the Chapter Executive teams, and our entire membership, I express the deepest condolences to Ken’s wife Colette, daughter Teagan, and extended family members.  To read more about the wonderful and fulfilling life this amazing man lead, please navigate to Ken’s obituary linked below.
