CMVA Certified Vibration Analysts not on the list

If your name is not on the list of CMVA Certified Vibration Analysts, you may not hold a valid certification.

Some of our rules have changed:

Before June 1, 2020, it was a requirement to be a member for the full certification period to validate certification.

Since June 1, 2020, as a requirement of ISO 17024, there is no longer a tie between membership and certification.

To clarify:

If you had a valid certification on or after June 1, 2020 membership is no longer a requirement to maintain a valid certification. Your certification expires on the expiry date of your certificate.

If you hold an unexpired certificate but were not a member from the beginning of your 5 year certification to June 1, 2020 inclusively you do not hold a valid certification.

If you wish to validate your certification, you will need to purchase the missing year(s).

Certification renewal fees

Before June 1, 2020, certification renewal was free if you were a member for the full period of your certification.

Since June 1, 2020, there is a $450 renewal fee, however this fee is waived if you have been a member for the full term of your certification that is being renewed.

As always, any questions/comments/concerns should be addressed to the Executive Director at (416) 622-1170 or director@cmva.com.
