New pricing begins January 1st, 2023, so be sure to renew your memberships before December 31st 2022.

The cost of the CMVA’s recent ISO 17024 accreditation was discussed at the AGM. The ongoing cost of maintaining accreditation will be approximately $15,000 per year. This cost is primarily comprised of Standards Council of Canada (SCC) annual fees, external audit costs for office and exam sites (done by the SCC), and for internal audit costs. While ISO 17024 accreditation adds significant cost to running the CMVA, it also improves the quality and value of certification and offers assurance that CMVA will always be on the path of improvement. As the added cost of accreditation improves the value of certification and membership, the cost needs to be compensated though increases in pricing. This will be the first major adjustment to CMVA fees in over 20 years.

New fee schedule for 2023

If you have purchased a multi-year membership, or plan to buy one before January 1st, your prepaid years are locked in at old pricing. You will not experience the price change until these prepaid years expire.
