Jack D. PETERS, Keynote speaker
Certified as a Category IV Vibration Analyst in accordance with ISO 18436-2, Mr. Peters is Technical Director of Training, an Instructor and a Member of the Board of Directors for the Vibration Institute. He is a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) in accordance with the Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals (SMRP). Prior to his retirement in 2017, Mr. Peters was Vice President of International Sales for Connection Technology Center. He worked for Eastman Kodak company from 1977 – 2004 completing his career at Kodak as the technical manager for world wide condition monitoring on photographic film and paper manufacturing machines. As the sole member of Accelent Technology LLC, Mr. Peters works with the Vibration Institute to oversee and improve training materials and programs.
Louis LAVALLÉE, Keynote speaker
Louis Lavallée joined Delom Services in Montreal in 1993 where he developed his expertise as a vibration specialist for strong power electric motors. He is a CMVA certified CAT II vibration analyst and holds an engineer license in Quebec. He joined the CMVA in 2002 as Secretary of the Quebec Chapter. For many years, he has been a member of the CMVA National Board of Directors, for which he has been president in the past, and is still active as director in the Executive Committee of the CMVA Quebec chapter.
Andrew Ali has been involved in the implementation of equipment reliability processes for station equipment and systems. Since 2017, he has been supporting the Predictive Maintenance program at the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station for both Vibration Analysis and Infrared Thermography. He is currently the Treasurer for the Canadian Machinery Vibration Association (CMVA) Ontario Chapter and previously held the Technical Chair position.
Bernard F BOUERI
Bernard F Boueri is a vibration specialist with 25 years of experience in the field of vibrations and rotordynamics and their application in the diagnostics of rotating equipment. He received his B. Eng. from Imperial College in London and his MSc and PhD from the University of Florida, all in mechanical engineering. He works in the Machine Dynamics Group at Ontario Power Generation, he has been responsible for vibration diagnostics across the OPG fleet including steam turbine, hydro units and all rotating auxiliary equipment. He is a Category IV certified vibration analyst by the Vibration Institute.
Mateusz is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics at AGH University in Krakow joined program with Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. Involved in vibration diagnostics for more than 14 years. Initially responsible for wind turbine remote diagnostics. Afterwards for commissioning of on-line systems and further for its development. Mateusz joined Hansford Sensors in 2009. He is currently responsible for Central, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and Canada. During serving support to partners/customers always interested in challenging examples of troubleshooting and advanced analysis. Constantly developing the knowledge and experience in Asset Relibility. CMRP, ARP, Motion Amplification and ISO VA Certified.
James CHIN YUT
James Chin Yut, P Eng, is a Senior Technical Specialist at Bruce Power, where he has been employed since 2021. As a rotating equipment engineer he is responsible for the long term reliability of pumps and motors in the nuclear facility. He is graduate of the University of the West Indies with BSc. in Mechancial Engineering. After graduating he was employed in aviation first as a mechanic and then as a service engineer. He holds a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) A & P- airframe and power plant certificate. Prior to Bruce Power he was employed at a petrochemical facility in Trinidad in inspection and maintenance roles for nine years. James is certified Cat 3 with the CMVA and the VI.
Aaron Doyle, P.Eng., is a Technical Applications Specialist in the Rotating Machinery Techincal Services (RMTS) Group with Qualitrol IRIS Power. He has a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary and is a registered P.Eng. in Canada with fifteen years experience in field level troubleshooting of machinery vibration problems across a broad range of equipment and industries. His current focus is on large utility generator monitoring technologies such as endwinding vibration and air gap.
Paul Frisk is a Professional Engineer licensed in Ontario, a Level 3 Thermographer ans an ASNT member. He engineered software design with Publics Works Canada. He also programmed infrared analysis software for the Building Science Directorate. He was a software engineer for AGEMA/FLIR infrared systems, he designed, built and installer Automated Infrared Monitoring systems for induistrial applications and managed the Infrared Training Center for FLIR Canada for 20 years. Since 2020, he is Chief Consulting Engineer for FRISK INFRARED, where he performs custom design of infrared reporting templates for various IR industries and custom training. He is also a contract trainer for Teledyne FLIR.
Employed with STCD since 2014, and previously with Alliance Predictive for 12 years, Charles Gagné is a Level III vibration analysis specialist certified through CMVA, VI and Mobius Institute. Developed expertise in the operation of both hardware and software of the OneProd product line, with extensive knowledge of other brands, he also operates as a consultant in setup and commissioning of on line monitoring systems.
Theresa Girard is the Sales and Channel manager for ERBESSD-INSTRUMENTS based out of the Glen Falls, New York’s headquarters. She comes to the condition monitoring industry with many years of experience in Municipal Engineering and Project Management. Theresa is a key Sales and Channel support person for ERBESSD-INSTRUMENTS with a focus on delivering the best customer experience possible. She has a passion for working closely with distribution partners and customers around the globe. Her drive for solution selling makes her a very valuable speaker, bringing unique insight, a global perspective, and the full value of ERBESSD-INSTRUMENTS cutting edge products to the CMVA Conference. Theresa is currently working to achieve her CAT I Certification through Mobius Institute.
Brandon Grant is a Reliability Engineer in Training with Acuren Group Inc. based out of Saint John, New Brunswick. He has four years of experience working with reliability and diagnostic technologies including vibration analysis, thermography, strain measurement, and ultrasonic testing. Brandon is a certified ISO Category II vibration specialist and ITC Level I Thermographer. Brandon possesses exceptional problem-solving abilities, and strong leadership / teamwork skills. He greatly enjoys the wide range of work he is able to participate in throughout a large number of industry settings. Since joining Acuren, Brandon’s main area of focus has been in diagnostics and troubleshooting of equipment vibration problems and solutions for vibration control. Working with other team members Brandon is regularly involved with additional areas including condition-based monitoring and infrared thermography.
Matthew Holmes is a Category 3 vibration specialist (CMVA and VI) and professional engineer (NS and ON) with 25 years of experience in asset management and diagnostics for multiple industry segments (including power generation, manufacturing, marine vessels, aerospace, military weapons systems). He is currently a Senior Reliability Engineer with Acuren’s Eastern Region supporting Acuren’s customers onsite and remotely throughout North America. Mr. Holmes has served on the CMVA national Board of Directors since 2015, held the position of Vice President from 2017 to 2019 and has been the President since 2019.
Michael David HOWARD
Michael Howard, D.Sc is an American entrepreneur, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and respected leader in the predictive maintenance industry. Michael is a passionate advocate of revolutionary concepts in the wireless instrumentation and the IIoT communities for the maintenance & reliability industries. Dr. Howard is a native of South Glens Falls, New York and a graduate of Excelsior College, Capella University, & Charter University with degrees in Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Leadership, & Organizational Management, & Engineering Management. Mike is a Certified Reliability Engineer, Six-Sigma Black Belt & Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional. Dr.Howard is the CEO of Erbessd Instruments and is responsible for Strategic Direction, Distribution, Sales, Marketing and Operations throughout the English speaking markets.
Hassan Kazi is a Mechanical Engineer by training. He has been working in the areas of engineering analysis including vibration analysis and stress analysis for over a decade. Currently he is working for Ontario Power Generation in the Machine Dynamic and Component Integrity department.
Edward P. Kelleher is the Global Principal Engineer for Windrock, Inc. Mr. Kelleher is a licensed Third Assistant Engineer (Steam and Motor, Unlimited Horsepower) and has a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Mr. Kelleher has more than 35 years of experience in field engineering in naval, nuclear, rail, and power generation industries, with more than 25 years of condition monitoring experience related to reciprocating engines and compressors in various industries. Mr. Kelleher has published papers on condition-based maintenance and has presented to a variety of audiences globally.
Jim Lindblad is a Category 2 vibration specialist (CMVA) with 25 years of experience in condition monitoring, operation, maintenance and maintenance planning in manufacturing industries (including pulp and paper, thermal power generation, coated products, ship building, mining). Jim is currently an Acuren Condition Based Monitoring (CBM) technician supporting Acuren’s Eastern Region with multiple CBM technology certifications.
Dora Orchard is the senior staff engineer at Acuren Group Inc. in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. Since joining the company in 2001, Dora has been involved in numerous vibration monitoring and analysis projects for clients in the pulp & paper, oil & gas, and power generation industries. She performs and directs equipment vibration diagnostics and troubleshooting, as well as various corrective action techniques, including structural modifications (vibration control) and dynamic balancing. Dora has participated in the implementation and management of condition monitoring programs at various industrial and commercial facilities. Her main area of engineering expertise is in reliability, specifically predictive analysis of industrial equipment including vibration analysis. Working closely with the Acuren Team, she has participated in the development and delivery of various specialized techniques, including IN-SITU™ Roll Balancing and SCORE™ Maintenance Assessment. Dora is also involved in diagnostics and analysis of equipment vibration problems and development and implementation of solutions for vibration control.
Allan Rienstra is the Director of Business Development for SDT Ultrasound Solutions. In his 30+ years career, he has helped thousands of companies across five continents achieve their operational objectives by employing condition monitoring technologies to solve problems and enable reliability. Co-author of Hear More, A Guide to Utilizing Ultrasound for Condition Monitoring and Leak Detection, Allan has contributed his knowledge and experience to countless industry publications.
Behshad Sabah is a Mechanical Engineer licensed in Ontario since 2008, who has been working in tribology and lubrication field since 1996 in different capacities and companies. He joined Petro Canada in 2017 as Senior Technical Service Advisor covering Mining, Forestry and Food industry in GTA and Ontario North. He is a member of STLE since 2005 and is the Toronto Chair since 2020, holding CLS, OMA I, II plus CAT I and CAT II vibration analysis certifications.
