Submitting papers

If you are submitting a paper that you would like to present or publish. Here is a template to help you complete your paper.

If you would like to present a paper or mini-course at the Annual Technical Conference, you can use this Call for speakers form.

We are accepting submissions for conference sessions, workshops, and training for the 2021 CMVA Annual Technical Conference to be held in-person in Niagara Falls on October 27-28, 2021.

Take this opportunity to showcase your ideas, expertise and case studies with your peers from across Canada. The 2021 conference theme is Essentials & Innovation for Reliability Improvement, emphasizing the need for strong fundamentals, yet looking to innovations in equipment reliability. Here is a list of suggested topics:

    • Vibration monitoring and analysis (basic to advanced)
    • Motion amplification
    • Acoustic and ultrasonic monitoring
    • Infrared thermography
    • Lubrication and oil analysis
    • Motor current and power analysis
    • Data-driven predictive maintenance (e.g. advanced pattern recognition, artificial intelligence, internet of things, etc.)
    • Fostering innovation

Student presentations
A low student registration fee has been set in order to encourage as many students as possible to attend this meeting.

Two (2) Student Awards of 350$ each will be awarded for the best presentation (judged by a Peer Panel), as well as CMVA student membership for the year 2022. Only articles written and presented by students as first author will be eligible for Student Awards, which will be granted during the Happy Hour on Wednesday.

Acceptance of registration form by reading committee

Submission of articles (PDF) or short training / workshop content (PowerPoint or PDF).

Acceptance of articles or short training/workshop content submitted.

CMVA Registration at Early-bird fee
